Jonathan Florendo is an U.S. Air Force Veteran who served his country for 8 years.
Jon is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt who has been training Jiu Jitsu for 12 years. He received his black belt under Professor Eric Acha who is a Jean Jacques Machado Blackbelt.
After his military service Jon continued to serve his community as a professorial firefighter and has been doing so for over 14 years.
Jon coaches at Peninsula Self Defense in California and works diligently to spread the word about the endless benefits Jiu Jitsu has for service members and Veterans.

Frank Concolino Jr. is a Combat Veteran who served in the U.S. Navy for twelve years. He started his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey in 2008 in Virginia Beach and earned his Blue belt under Gustavo "Guga" Machado.
After separating from the Navy he moved back to New York and trained under Alexandre "Soca" Freitas where he earned his Purple and Brown Belt. At Brown belt Frank started a chidren's Jiu Jitsu program at a day care center teaching Jiu Jitsu to under privileged children in Long Island, NY.
In 2018, Frank moved to Staten Island, NY (his hometown) where he lead and developed a Jiu Jitsu program at Codella Academy for over 5 years, teaching the youth of Staten Island Jiu Jitsu as it should be. He also continued serving the military community by working for the Department of Veteran affairs in NYC for several years. Frank received his Black belt in 2019, and "Professor stripes/1st degree" in December 2022 under the Renzo Gracie lineage.
He is grateful to have had the opportunities to train and compete in Brazil and other South American countries throughout his Jiu Jitsu journey, learning from Legends of the Art such as Roberto (Gordo) Correa de Lima, Dennis Asche, Sylvio Behring and many other well respected Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Masters.
Frank is very passionate about sharing all the lessons he has learned about the Art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Lessons that are priceless.
His mission is not only to share these lessons with the military but with all warriors of the light.
